Blue Pencil was delighted to support the latest Club Fit For Business event at the Columbus Hotel, featuring a Q&A session with sporting icon, Paula Radcliffe MBE, interviewed by Elin Haf Davies. The private, invitation only evening brought together a fantastic cross-section of the Monaco sports and business communities. The audience was fascinated by Paula's insight on the interactions between the worlds of sport and business and what they can learn from each other. After Paula spoke, there was a raffle and business card drawer, with incredible prizes donated by Club Fit For Business partners World Class Gym, Quai des Artistes, Chatham shoes, Columbus Hotel. Over 900 Euros was raised for Paula’s chosen charity, Asthma UK. The evening was also supported by Shimmerwalls and the Wine Palace, Monaco.

It also brings together the sports community and business worlds, and aims to assist retiring athletes who are looking to make the transition from sport into business. Events are currently run in Dubai, London, Monaco and Washington DC.
Elena D’Ischia founder of DCS Monaco said: “The evening was a great success. The eclectic mix of guests, both from the sports and business worlds, came away from this event inspired, especially by Paula's insight throughout the Q&A session.
A special mention to Elin Haf Davies and to our co-founder, Liam Mooney, who organised this event with us. We are already looking forward to the next one.”
Liam Mooney founder of Blue Pencil said: “I was delighted with this event in Monaco. It encapsulated everything we are trying to achieve with Club Fit For Business. We had an elite athlete and world record holder, sharing the DNA of success in terms of performance and the synergy between sport and business. Paula also spoke about why children should be encouraged to participate more in sport, not only in terms of health, but character building and education. We had a great cross section of the business community, all of whom had a relaxed and enjoyable evening over a few drinks. I want to give special thanks to Paula for giving up her time to speak to Club Fit For Business, our ambassador, Elin Haf Davies, to our co-founders, Elena & Alessandro who supported the evening and of course all of our partners and guests for making a great evening. I am incredibly proud of the evening and the work we are doing with Club Fit For Business.”
