The Oxford and Cambridge Club, London:

Guests joined sports men and women at an exclusive event in London’s Oxford and Cambridge Club last night. Where a panel, led by Elin Haf Davies detailed how sport and business can learn from and impact on each other.

They were given a rare insight into the dedication and commitment it takes to be a world class athlete and a lively discussion took place revolving around the impact of sporting scandals on the industry and equality in sport.

The event was a great opportunity to bring business, sport and charity together in one room and highlight the common themes that run through them all. This was the second in a series of London based networking events with more to follow in the coming months.

It was great to see some Blue Pencil client in attendance along with the BP ambassador, Neil Clarke.

Gary Stannett, CEO of Active Communities Network said:

“Once again Club Fit For Business and their ambassadors have done a great job bringing together the fields of sport, business and charity, providing a great platform for everyone to explore a variety of themes, create new networks and build new relationships."

"Big thanks to Chatham, Blue Pencil, aparito and to the panel Elin Haf Davies Ian Walker, Sarah Winckless and Angus Buchanan and we look forward to working with you all in the future.”

Liam Mooney, founder of Blue Pencil and Club Fit For Business said:

“We were very honored to hear from our illustrious panel of Ian Walker, Sarah Winckless and Angus Buchanan, who were superbly marshaled by Club Fit For Business Ambassador, Elin Haf Davies. It was great to see a fantastic mix in the audience of leading business, political and legal figures, professional athletes and volunteers who put so much work into grassroots sports. The mix of guests ensured the Club F4B’s themes of business, sport and the community could be really explored and made for some great new connections and motivation for all.

A huge thanks to our panel, guests, sponsors Chatham, Blue Pencil, aparito and charity partner Active Communities Network who enabled us to put on the event. We are already looking forward to our next event in the UK and hearing about the positive stories that spin out of our evening at the Oxford & Cambridge club. I am sure a few New Year’s resolutions were broken, but it was well worth it!”
